Hearst Museum object titled Blanket, accession number 9-18238, described as Blanket (all-purpose for wrap, hammock, baby carrier, etc.): black background with spaced bands of geometric patterns and stripes in white, yellow, black; ends fringed and banded with strip of wavy linear patterning. A machine-made copy of tribal textile (probably Jarai or Rhade) using tribal patterns. Made for sale at Montagnard market in Saigon. Not clear if actually made in Saigon. Probably bought new by donor.

Cotton rope is attached as hat strap and has a white tassle on either end.  Third tassle attached to rim., another white tassle on top.  Hat has head rest attached to center inside; head rest is plainly woven band.  Tim and spokes are brown (dark) and rest is natural fiber color (light).
