The weft material is conifer root.  The weft overlay design is in beargrass.  Starting at the starting knot, there is 2.5 inches of plain twining, followed by 1 weft row of three strand twining, followed by 1 weft row of plain twining, followed by 1 weft row of three strand twining.   Plain twining continues to the rim where there is 1 weft row of three strand twining, with the remnants of 1 more weft row of three strand twining.  The rim is trimmed.  There is a reinforcing rod on the inside.  The main design is five vertical zigzags outlined in triangles.  The workface is on the exterior.  The overlay is single-sided, with the design on the exterior.  The basket has an up to the right slant of weft twist.  The basket is from Northwest California.
