Hearst Museum object titled Bowl basket, accession number 1-10189, described as Bowl basket; coiled. Warp is Epicampes (Sporobolus rigens), weft is Sedge root (Carex). Pattern is mud-dyed Brake fern (Pteris quilina). Coiled on bundle foundation with non-interlocking stitches; flaring sides. Decoration: 2 bands of black horizontal zigzags and 4 columns of solid black diamonds. The rim is damaged in several places. Basket has been repaired about halfway down.

Warp is Willow (Salix) and Epicampes (Sporobolus rigens), weft is Redbud (Cercis occidentalis). Black pattern is Brake fern (Pteris quilina). Large and in the shape of an elliptical canoe. Decoration consists of 5 groups of black and red horizontal lines; each group contains eleven parallel lines (or stitches). The basket is executed in single-rod coiling with interlocking stitches.

Decoration: vertical columns of diamond designs; these are very faint, but appear red in color. Basket is slightly damaged at bottom.

Warp material: Epicampes (Sporobolus rigens). Woof material: sedge (Carex sp.). Design material is brackenfern root (Pteris quilina). Coiled on bundle foundation with non-interlocking stitches.
