Black dye is Maidenhair fern (Adiantum pedatum). Red color is Chain fern (Woodwardia spinulosa) dyed in Alder (Alnus rubra). Small, shallow, twined; very fine finish. One horizontal break of warps. Almost completely overlaid. 2-faced overlay in white, black, and alder red. Design consists of 4 sets of 2 parallel stacks of zigzagging quadrilaterals; concentric circles of vertical and dotted stripes on bottom. 3-strand twined on bottom where not overlaid.

Mostly plain weave. 3-strand twining for 1.5 cm radius from start; also approximately 3-3.5 cm from start.

Three strand twining at the base, plain twined on sides, and one row of three strand twining at the rim.  Conifer root weft with beargrass overlay.  Black designs are probably maidenhair fern.  Some rim and base damage.  Staining on outside and inside.  Diagonal designs and one narrow stripe below the rim.

Black and white 2-faced overlay design. Stepped diagonal zigzag motif, with V-shaped motifs above. These are horizontally striped in black and brown. 3-strand twining occurs on the bottom.

Probably cooking basket, with added weight by cooked in food remains.  Basket has straight sides, only slightly flairing.  Three strand twining and plain twining at the base, plain twined on sides, and two rows of three strand twining at the rim.  Warp sticks are probably hazel.  Conifer root weft with beargrass overlay.  Black designs are probably maidenhair fern.  Designs include V shapes on their sides and checkered pattern below the rim.
