Shield shaped with antique fire pumper and “Veteran Firemen’s Association New York” engraved on front. “Presented to Mrs Howard Coit by James A. Monghan of Veteran Fireman’s Association of New York City. A W Mitchell, Marker, 757 Broadway, N.Y.” is inscribed on the back.

On the reverse the original Liberty Head shows through smooth surface.
