: Hearst Museum object titled Harpoon, accession number 2-69171, described as Wood shaft with bone socketpiece. Bone barbed point attached with seal thong. Some plaited sinew wrapping. Fletched, bladder missing. Found mis-numbered in 1988 (had #2-6365 on it which belongs to a Kodiak harpoon arrow); ivory socket mortised to take the shaft's distal end; winding of braided sinew; retaining line lashed on shaft down to the lashing of the three. Yup'ik name: nagiiquyaq.

: Hearst Museum object titled Harpoon, accession number 2-6321, described as Feathered; bone point bilaterally barbed attached to an Y-shaped leather thong tied at 25 & 86 cm from tip of socket; bone socket set into distal end of shaft wound with braided sinew; a hemp string connects this winding with the next attachment of dart line; two feathers at proximal end, bound to shaft with twisted sinew; brown colored wooden shaft, circular in section, tapering to the proximal end.
