: Hearst Museum object titled Cap box, accession number 2-45478a,b, described as Cap box with sliding lid. (a) Rectangular box, wood, ivory panel on two sides. Engraved reindeer on one panel, mythological horse like animal standing over fallen man with hunter aiming bow at animal on other panel. Ivory slats in corners and at ends. (b) Wood lid with 2 carved mammoth ivory figures (crawling bear, spotted seal).

: Hearst Museum object titled Scrimshaw, accession number 2-48471, described as Carving of a great auk, made from mastodon tusk. This was made by Peter E. Kern for Indian Curio Shop in Skagway, Alaska that he operated from 1896 to 1913. This was made from a Mastodon mammoth tusk found at Dawson.
