Hearst Museum object titled Mola, accession number 3-30192, described as Molas; unmatched pair; loosely attached together), old and previously used, pair of bird creatures on each side, each of the 4 bird has different tail feathers; birds on one side have combs on their head and short and long tail feathers; birds on the other side have no combs and long dangling tail feathers; each of the birds appear to be holding or eating a banana; there is a hut on each side below the birds, along with the word "PANAMA" written backwards.

(four birds in all); upper birds have feather patterns within bodies; lower birds have abstract geometric motifs w/in bodies.  fill is horizontal lines.  Color layers are red, pink and purple, w/ pieces in gold, green, blue, lime and printed material.  b) same as a w// different fill cuts and fill colors.

Hearst Museum object titled Mola, accession number 3-30176, described as Mola blouse; Blouse ,cotton, light grey w/  pink,blue,and , printed floral design; yoke 45 cm. l. x 11cm. w.; neckline trimmed  band of red and green cotton  39 cm. l.  x 1cm w.  interrupted on back and front to leave 7 cm. areas where the material of the yoke is pleated; deep red  cotton strip surmounts the neck trim 48 cm l.  front has gathering string; sleeves 14.5 cm.l. 20cm w. trimmed w/ red commercial rick rack.  Mola: red, black,  with white, pink, yellow,orange, green,top layer red, bottom layer  Some piecing. Front central design, three lizards, surrounded by 5 smaller lizards and 5 floral (?) shapes; background of multicolored triangular shapes; embroidery overall lizards.49 cm w. x 42 cm l. sewn to back. Back:  central motif; rectangle filled w/ semi-circular image with protruding rays, surrounded by18 alternating circles and squares beneath which are four larger squares which enclose floral designs, larger floral (?)motif descends from rectangle; 4 large cats,filled with small square motifs ,urround central motif and 2 floral (?) designs are placed at left corners 2 other floral designs in background; S shaped figure is on lower left corner; embroidery over all. background of triangles.  At bottom 3 cm. green pleated flounce w 1 cm. pink edging.

Hearst Museum object titled Mola, accession number 3-30181, described as Mola blouse; Blouse; yoke; 50 cm w. x 12 cm l., very faded black; irreuglar heavy cotton fabric; trim at shoulders 12.5 cm from sleeve toward center; trim 5.5 cm w., red, green, and yellow; neck is trimmed in red band 1 cm. w., that encases a drawstring;  Sleeves, 14 cm x 19 cm l.; same  as yoke; trimmed at cuff with white rick rack and a narrow strip of red.  Trim connecting mola to yoke -2.5 cm.  band made up of narrow color strips in black, green, yellow and red is topped with yellow sawtooth rick rack.  Bottom edge trim , 2.5 cm., off white, finely pattered woven cotton cloth.   Mola:  53 cm w. x 39 cm . Front and back basically the same; main design  a standing bird (harpy eagle?) w/ wings spread showing feathers and head in profile; tail divided horizontally forming  base line, one side of tail ends in leaf pattern, other in inverted ÒFÓ w/ 3 tines.  Front:  2 auxillerary motifs in upper corners: left  is ÒFÓ w/ 3 tines,; right, same basic shape w/ no tines. Back:   both ÒFÓ shapes have tines.   Color layers:  red, royal blue, and red on main figure; red,orange and red surrounding figure; fill is pattern of vertical slits exposing numerous colors behind, some visibility pieced midway, mostly solid colors w/ some prints.
