Hearst Museum object titled Basket, accession number 1-157455, described as Coiled basket; basin shape; ascending step designs and upper horizontal band of steps in black on pale yellow ground; Juncus rush yellow and black, sumac white; grass bundle foundation. Belonged to Ochoa family at La Puente since before 1804; possibly from local Indians of village of Awi, near La Puente; is typologically like other known Gabrielino baskets.
