: Hearst Museum object titled Kayak, accession number 2-62061, described as Kayak; skin-covered kayak with damaged hull; large circular hole at bow, projecting handgrip at stern. Wooden frame with skin cover of walrus or seal hide. As Larry Dawson and others recall (1979) the kayak was made on Nunivak Island but was bought on the mainland where it had been in use.
