Basket does not have pitch, probably never used.  Bottom is three strand twined and the mouth of the jar is wrapped.  Tag says "Paiute Reno NV". Has 1-71980 on it and has same dimensions as described on catalog card. Probably came in with Grace Blair DePue collection acc. 838.
