Hearst Museum object titled Cup, accession number 16-20451a,b, described as Chimu style cup. Carved wooden anthropoid cup stand (a) with metal (possibly silver) "cup" portion (b). cup stand is carved with a kneeling figure holding a blade and shield on a round plinth and semi-conical base. figure's face is painted red with large round ears with applied ear spools, a round wide headdress supports a metal cup decorated with repoussé band at top and bottom. base, shield, headdress and ear spools are all decorated with round or rectangular, metal, applied metal pieces, repousséd with decorative symbols.

Holes at each end suggest that the diadem was either sewn or laced to form a circle.
