Description:
Basket; coiled. Warp is Willow (Salix), weft is Redbud (Cercis occidentalis). Red pattern is Redbud. Single-rod coiling with interlocking stitches; wide-mouthed with gently sloping sides. Decoration: redbud used to secure rim and 2 horizontal bands of red triangle designs. Mended with milkweed fibre string.
