Description:

Small pyxis with lid. Intact. Concave, cylindrical body; spindle-shaped knob on lid. Small hole in wall. Buff clay, brown and black glaze. Body: 7 sans to right (3 are "ghosts"); black strokes in field. Lid: 7 swans to right (2 are "ghosts"); tongues around base of knob. Height with lid: 18 cm.
