A glazed and enameled ceramic vase that was made for export. The cream colored glaze is cracked, the vase is tall and bulbous, with enamel molded figures on its surface in gold and various colors. At the base there is an elaborate pair of molded "karashishi" (lion dogs) holding a sacred jewel and paired bow-knots in relief; on the body of the vase there is a panel of warriors is on one side and a floral scene on the opposite side. Height 50.8 cm.
