Twined, bowl shape. Per Ralph Shanks: Low sided bowl. Three strand twining at the starting knot, plain twined on sides, and one row of three strand twining at the rim. Warp sticks are probably hazel. Conifer root weft with beargrass overlay. Red design is dyed Woodwardia fern. Black designs are probably maidenhair fern. Some rim damage. Base has two rings of checkered designs. Side has zigzag designs. Stripe near rim has one row red then one row of black and then another row of red. The extensive use of red-dyed Woodwardia suggests Wintu maker.
