This was thought to be 1-11866. Per Ralph Shanks: Northwestern California storage basket. May have once had lid. Primarily plain twined. Some three strand twining at bottom. Near top, 3 cm of open work of paired crossed warps ending in three strand twining. Warps are hazel, wefts are conifer root, and overlay is beargrass. Cross warp starting knot. The basket's bottom has semi-open work leading up to a reinforcing rod and after which sides are close twined. Designs are two rows of triangles and zigzags.
