Puerto Rican name: Ataraya, Hataraya, taraya. Used by men and older boys, along beaches and sandy areas of coral reef, for catching fish up to 1 pound in shallow water. Frequently used when bait is required for line fishing. Woven principally by men, thought at times by women.
