Description:
Bamboo and paper fan. This fan does not have ribs. (Kotobuki, indicating good fortune). The design is a white background with black calligraphic character, trees, and flowers. Red border at top. Back side is plain. Gold threads from from middle to one edge, and silver from middle to the other side, under border at the top. Generally used at New Year's on Kagamy Mochi. Also part of the circular display of flowers given when opened
