Materials, techniques: Clay; sisal rope-method unknown by Rendille obtained from blacksmith in Khorr (mission). Context of use: Made by blacksmiths in Khorr (mission). *Used for general cooking (although mostly maize provided by the Kenyan government); used also during ALMADO ceremony for boiling water for tea for men. Placed on fire support by cooking stones by girls and women, and anyone can eat from the DIRI. Description: Pot; clay; round bottomed with 2 clay handles; with rope connecting handles H=32 cm.
