Spear thrower. Conifer, 3 finger grooves, 1 longitudinal groove on one side. Old label reads: "Alaskan spear sling formerly used by the Indians on San Nicolas Island, CA."; also "Drifted to San Nicolas." Perhaps made of spruce.
