Comment:
In a day's excavations in the W.S. mound on Dec. 19, 1899, in a layer of ashes between the levee and the slough at a depth of 3½' three horn implements probably used for digging purposes and three horn flakers. The 'diggers' were found lying side by side. The flakers were near but all separate.
