rosary or prayer beads; string of 19 rudraksha beads alternating with 1 sandalwood/ holy basil bead in between each bead; total = 20 sandalwood beads; necklace is dark brown in color. rudraksha beads are made from the seeds of small tree (Eleaocarpus ganitrus) unique to Java. often worn as a necklace by followers of Shiva
