Description:

Twined, bowl shape with incurving rim. Label "Copper number 22, loose label, may well apply to this Pit River, NE California type L.L.L." Per Ralph Shanks: Cordage tule warps. Overlay of beargrass and maidenhair fern as well as an 1900-1944 dark material. Braided cordage warp rim, bound down on the inside. Down to the right slant of weft twist, which is a Modoc trait. Starting knot is Klamath/Modoc type.
