Basket with flat base and straight vertical sides. Coiled over bundle foundation. Uneven square start. Light with dark pattern with two bands of birds, possibly roadrunner. Per Ralph Shanks: Pima or Tohono O'odham. Foundation may be cattail. Weft is yucca leaf. Black is devil's claw pod. Rim is plain wrapped. Probably made for sale around the 1950's. Remnants of material on sides suggests that the basket may have had a handle at one point.
