Description:
Coiled. Per Ralph Shanks: Six coils. Leftward work direction with a three rod foundation, probably willow. The basket fragment primarily has an up to the right slant of weft twist. The weft material is also probably willow. On one face of the basket the wefts are primarily split. The weft fag ends are clipped. This fragment was found in a drawer that had objects checked out to Larry Dawson.
