Notes from a card inside the bowl: "Bright blue Persian vase from the Henrietta Brewer Collection. Brought from her house in the Summer of 1949 while working on her collection there. She always told me [Patterson] it was 2,000 years old. She had it in her house for many years as a great treasure. Mr. True has mended it beautifully so it looks finely.
