Oval, multiple foundation coil. Large oval coiled basket bowl. Foundation is deergrass bundle with occasional juncus combined with deergrass on the uppermost coil. The starting knot is oval. Weft fag ends are bound under. Background wefts of sumac in part or the entire basket, there may have been another background material used. The designs are dyed black and natural orange juncus. The design is a band with interior triangles on top and bottom borders and 9 human figures within the band. Also at base there is a black stripe. The rim is plain wrapped with a herringbone coil ending. There is some glue on the interior as well as a nail hole from hanging. Banded designs are common but not limited to Luiseño.
