Small spherical coiled basket of wide stitch. Tag: "Yuki". Per Ralph Shanks: Coiled globose storage basket. There are no abrasions, but some type of residue is visible on the interior base. The basket has a coiled spiral start. The coil foundation is splints with rod and splints close to the rim. The wefts are interior peeled redbud. There is no design. The rim is plain wrapped; the rim coil ending has 10 diagonal back stitches, and the coil ending snapped off. The weft fag ends are tucked. The weft moving ends are concealed. The interior of the basket has 90% split stiches. About 15% of the wefts are split on the exterior. The basket has an exterior workface, with a rightward work direction, and a down to the right slant of weft twist.
