A tightly coiled globose basket. One of the best of the Yuki baskets. Tag "Yuki". Per Ralph Shanks: Globular coiled gift basket. Some non-food residue is in the bottom interior. The basket has a pinhole-like start with a stitch over it, in unpeeled redbud. The coil foundation is made up of three peeled shoot rods. The wefts are peeled and unpeeled redbud designs. The design is similar to a flower design, with diagonal bands. Three are random rectangles. The rim is plain wrapped with peeled and unpeeled redbud. The rim coil ending is tapered and has five in line backstitches. The weft fag ends are concealed. The moving ends are concealed. The wefts are non-interlocking, 40% of the wefts are split on the interior and less than 10% are split on the exterior. The workface is on the exterior. The work direction is to the right with a down to the right slant of weft twist.
