Cast of a bust of Cicero; from a marble in the Capitoline Museum, Rome. There is no convincing evidence that this is a portrait of Cicero. The fact that this is one of several portraits of the same man indicated that he was a man of note, and this face answers well to the conception of Cicero which we gain from his writings. Compare with Helbig, no. 493.
