Description:
Per Ralph Shanks: Winnowing tray, heavily used. Done in diagonal twining with reinforcing rod (broken in areas) around edge. Woven with up to right slanting weft twist. Appears to be Western Mono or neighboring group. Patched in bottom with lighter material. Design in redbud red and light zigzag band. Tip is also damaged. Could be 2-29454.
