Red cotton rectangle embroidered at top with varicolored silk squared with star-like designs around edges; button closure; top- trimmed with six white cowries (3 pairs), 3 Ottoman coins (1908). 1 1938 Farouk coin; stone weight; 3 linear overlay panels with diamonds and triangles in printed cloth; base trimmed with green and rust tassels, beads and 5 1917 Sultan Mussein Kamel coins. Length: 1 m, not including tassels. Width: 36,8 cm. Materials: cotton cloth, silver coins, silk crossstitch embroider, glass seed beads, white cowries (local); mother of pearl buttons; jasper (river peddle, irregular shape). Context: everyday head covering of women, any age. Trails down back. One stone weight in place, the other missing.
