Description:

narrow loom woven textile composed of 10 bands sewn together lengthwise. Pattern formed is navy and neutral checker board, 3 sets of blocks at center decorated with red accents across the width of the blanket. ends finished with 2 wide bands of navy separated by a band of neutral decorated with 2 narrow navy strips and navy dashes. hand woven, thread and spun. Purchased from Hausa man at Accra market. Conservation: Stained.
