Description:

Bloomers. White cotton bloomers; machine sewn, commercially made. Machine-made eyelet lace trim on legs. (a) has split leg construction, purple ink stamp “27”, tape tie at waist. Length 70 cm. (b) has buttonholes at waist, lightweight material. Length 65 cm. Materials: cotton, cotton organza. Techniques: weaving, lacemaking, sewing. Probably early 1900s.
