Hearst Museum object titled Bottle, accession number 9-12653, described as Oil bottle; stoneware, tear-drop shape, wide mouth rim on constricted neck, narrow foot covered with coarse sand particles, chip out of foot, shiny glaze that is rust brown where thick, green where thin, slip (?) underneath glaze, two incised bands on upper body, 4 7/8” (11.8 cm) diameter, 8 5/8” (21.8 cm) high.

Underglaze blue decoration in varied tone strengths, of bamboo with leaves and stylized fruit tree blossoming, separated by grass on each side. Two bands below near base. Shoulder has octopus pattern on shoulder-top. Rim is chipped and worn, many spots on body. Recessed foot has crack. Height 13.5 cm, Base diameter 6.5cm. Exterior has representation of boy with cock, and hen with chicks amid peonys, grass, rocks, etc., in rich translucent overglaze enamels. Detail in black. Calligraphic text in rectangular area with 132 characters and seal. Seal mark of Ch'ien Lung reign (1736-1795) on base in iron-red. Body is thin, but many impurities in surface. Height 5.1 centimeters, diameter 12 centimeters.
Hearst Museum object titled Bowl, accession number 9-12316, described as bowl w/ pouring spout.  ceramic.  has almost straight sides, no foot, and an attached pouring spout under the projecting lip.  spotty green-brown translucent glaze over a red-brown clay body, w/ thick creamy-white glaze running down sides.  "Hare's fur" flambe on interior sides.  Seven stilt marks on the inside bottom. Has no foot.  base not glazed.  H. 9.5 cm. rim dia. 21 cm.

Heavy enamel decoration covering all of exterior: six Lion-dogs (shih tzu) amidst clouds, some playing with silk-brocade balls, another with a dragon. Enamels are thick, and opaque, with black detail. Traces of gilt between clouds and on rim. Double peach and bat medallion on center interior bottom. Coral-red "seal mark" on base of T'ung Chich reign (1862-1873) of the Ching Dynasty. Height 6 centimeters, diameter 13.2 centimeters.

Thick, opaque enamel decoration covering all of exterior Chinese cabbage (bok choy) pattern. Opaque white stems at foot with incised detail; more translucent light and dark green leaves near rim with spots of red. Black detail. Interior plain with mottled grey surface except for small peach and bat medallion at center in green, pink, and coral-red. Brown on rim. Crack on side; chips in rim, and scratched surface. Height 5.2 centimeters, diameter 11.1 centimeters.
Hearst Museum object titled Bowl, accession number 9-12729, described as China. Bowl, porcelain with enamel decoration. Trefoil lobed, on short recessed foot. Turquoise glazed interior. Exterior has polychrome floral scrollwork on canary-yellow ground; with lotus and peony. Short foot has narrow band of underglaze blue comb pattern, gilt on rim. Underside within foot glazed turquoise with reserved red seal mark of T'ung chih (1862-1874). Interior glaze very worn. Height 6.5 centimeters, maximum diameter 13.6 centimeters.
Hearst Museum object titled Bowl, accession number 9-12720, described as China. Bowl, porcelain; famille rose decoration. Deep, with low belly, nearly straight sides to slightly turned out rim. Dark red flower and grey and green leaves on center bottom. Lozange-diaper pattern band with four oval medallions inset near rim. Medallions have polychrome floral designs; diaper pattern divided into four panels: yellow, grey, emerald green, and light green. Outerside has all-over design of large and small flowers in many colors, including peony, lotus, chrysanthemums, all in enamels with fine-lined black outline and detail. Base has six-character Ch'ien Lung (1736-1795)reign mark within double circle in underglaze blue. Height 8.9 centimeters, diameter 17.9 centimeters.
