Hearst Museum object titled Basket, accession number 5-17042, described as Round basket with wide wooden (bamboo) rim and bamboo stabilizing bands (2 inside, one outside) overlapping and/or below the rim..  Basket is herringbone weave.   4.5cm rim is attached to the basket with woven raffia segments 3.0 to 4.3 cm wide, separated by blank spaces 2.0 to 3.5cm wide.  Where the rim overlaps a woven, saw tooth band 11.5cm long joins the ends.  1972.

Hearst Museum object titled Basket, accession number 10-3438, described as Bag; tan, bamboo plaited ovoid shaped bag made up of four nested baskets ;18 cm top to bottom; 28 cm w., 5.5 cm deep when assembled; a) top ;ovoid shape basket with concave (saddled-shaped) closed top; plaited bamboo with dark brown horizontal elements at lower (open)edge and band of braided multi shaded brown elements embelishing saddle shaped top, 2 loops for carrying strap (missing) b and c)  same with horizontal rows of two braided dark brown horizontal elements ;each has a recessed , curved interior which allows them to be  nested inside one another without appearing to be so from outside; d) same as b and c, but with flat bottom with 2 cm braided tan strip surrounding.  Each basket has slightly smaller guage of split bamboo and slightly larger circumference to accommodate nesting.
